| Hari K. Nagarajan |
Hari K. Nagarajan is a Senior Fellow at NCAER. He holds a PhD in economics from the University of Oklahoma, Norman. He has taught at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Bangalore as well as at The University of Oklahoma, Norman. His research has primarily been in the area of rural development within which he has published papers on land markets, land reforms, mutual insurance, gender discrimination, and price formation. He is the Project Leader for the current project. |

| Shashanka Bhide |
Shashanka Bhide is the Senior Research Counsellor and a Senior Fellow at the National Council of Applied Economic Research, New Delhi. He is a PhD in Agricultural Economics from Iowa State University. Prior to NCAER he was at the Institute for Social and Economic Change, Bangalore and Australia South Asia Research Center , Research School of Pacific and Asian Studies (ASARC) of the Australian National University , Canberra. His domain of research interests includes macro-economic modeling, poverty reduction, agricultural economics and housing. |

| Raghbendra Jha |
Prof. Jha is currently the Rajiv Gandhi Chair Professor and Executive Director, Australia South Asia Research Centre at the Australian National University . His research interests are macroeconomic problems of developing countries, optimal tax and price policy, fiscal federalism, and amongst Indian economic problems, in particular, poverty, under nutrition, functioning of agricultural markets and financial sector reforms. Among his many honours he is a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society and was an Elected Fellow of the World Innovation Foundation, 2001. Along with the NCAER-IDRC initiative, he is currently also working on an Australian Research Council and AusAID funded project on the design of social safety nets in India . His other current work also encompass village economy in semi-arid agriculture, determinants of poverty, undernutrition and inequality in India, the behaviour of retail prices for foodgrains in India, the sustainability of the public debt in developing countries and the linkage between macroeconomic stabilization and banking crises in semi-open developing countries. He has taught at the Columbia University , Delhi School of Economics, Indian Institute of Management at Bangalore, Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research and University of Warwick. |

| D B Gupta |
D B Gupta is a PhD in Economics from University of Birmingham, England. He is currently a Senior Consultant at NCAER. He was associated with the Institute of Economic Growth (IEG), New Delhi; National Institute of Public Finance and Policy (NIPFP), New Delhi; the World Bank; and the Government of India. as an adviser to the Planning Commission and Department of Family Welfare. He has held several honorary chairs and visiting faculty positions to institutes in India and abroad. His primary areas of interest include health economics, environmental economics, urban development, housing, Indian industry and developmental economics. |
