Voting for Maha Zilla Parishad, Panchayat Samiti polls begin

Summary: Polling for 1,624 seats in the 27 Zilla Parishads and 3,218 seats of 309 Panchayat Samitis across Maharashtra began this morning in 59,914 polling booths with a total of 20,589 candidates in the fray.

Plan panel told to allocate funds directly to block panchayats

Child politicians bring change to rural India
